The editing effect

Once you have shot your first sequences, you can go on to the editing stage. This process will allow you to reorganize everything that you’ve filmed so far, cutting out the bits you don’t need and putting your sequences in order.

When you think about superhero movies you’ve seen at the cinema, one of the first things to come to mind, besides the story, are the special effects. Some of these are highly complex and require advanced technology. But others are much simpler and can be achieved at the editing stage.

Luca teaches us tricks – how to make objects or people disappear and reappear, for example – which were used decades ago in the early years of cinema. The only thing that has changed in the meantime is the technology involved, which today is digital.
