Camila Beltrán was born in Bogotá in 1984. She was first noticed for her work as a video director and for her experimental films. She then left her country and joined the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris Cergy. Her first short film, Pedro Malheur (2013), won the Special Jury Mention at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. John Marr (2016) was financed, produced and directed in France. Her first feature film, El dia de mi bestia, is supported by Proimágenes Colombia and will be shot in early 2021.
