Born in Miami, Florida in 1964, Kelly Reichardt is an independent screenwriter and director. Her debut feature River of Grass (1994) screened at Sundance and the Berlinale. Following a number of short films, she returned to feature filmmaking in 2006 with Old Joy. Her subsequent films have shown and won awards at festivals around the world, including Cannes, Venice, Rotterdam and Toronto. Her most recent feature, First Cow (2019), screened in the main competition of the Berlinale in 2020.
Kelly Reichardt is a member of the jury of The Films After Tomorrow at Locarno 2020.
