A seguito di una mastectomia doppia, Veronica Ghent si reca con la giovane infermiera Desi nella Scozia rurale per un ritiro di convalescenza. Scopre che il processo dell’operazione chirurgica apre domande circa la sua esistenza, portandola a interrogarsi e a confrontarsi con traumi del passato.
