Evelyn Warren, newly elected ’school-teacher of the year’ in the United States, goes to Reno, gets drunk, and loses $7,000 at the casino. The owner forces her to give lessons to his daughter Diana in exchange for not revealing what happened, and ends up falling in love with her. The first Sirk film covering American themes in a comic light.
