1987: tandis que les autres élèves se demandent si Robin, l’élève qui vient d’arriver, est un garçon ou une fille, Robin noue un lien compliqué avec la brute de l’école et fait des choix de plus en plus dangereux pour s’intégrer.

Quand j’étais adolescent au Canada dans les années 1980, on me demandait souvent «Es-tu un garçon ou une fille?». J’aurais aimé laisser la question en suspens, sans réponse, comme Robin dans le film.
