This was the second short film submitted to the censors, but according to Sirk it was the first one filmed. Several scenes from Molière’s play Le Malade imaginaire are brought together in 36 minutes, performed by comic actors from the studio. Ufa was producing short films for the domestic market as a testing ground for new directors.
