Sirk’s first feature film, which was also shot in an earlier Dutch version which has since been lost. A comedy of misunderstandings: a wealthy baker prepares for a prince to visit his new company, but it is nothing but an April fool’s joke. “The first attempt at German comedy in American style”. (D.
