Be human

To meet Kate Gilmore, Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations, is to meet the power of words and the thoughts that propel them. It's to struggle with everyday life and, even more so, with ourselves. It's to understand, or even just perceive. Enough to stop for a little while, stay silent and listen to the purity of thought amidst the noise. A thought that encompasses rights and life, cinema and daily routines. It's the acknowledgement that 70 years later, we must all write those fundamental pages, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, anew, with the ink of example.
