Matter Out of Place è un film sui rifiuti depositati in zone lontanissime e sulle persone che cercano di ripulirle. Matter Out of Place segue la dispersione dei rifiuti e osserva il lavoro di Sisifo che fa chi è impiegato nei vari livelli nel settore della gestione rifiuti in tutto il mondo.

La spazzatura è un simbolo di come l’umanità si stia sviluppando, ma molto più lentamente di quanto il progresso tecnologico richiederebbe. Non siamo ancora in grado di affrontare molto di ciò che oggi è possibile e comune.
