Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz
Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz is an Iranian-American documentary filmmaker with interests in diasporic identity and migration. Her first short film, Inheritance (2012), earned the Loni Ding Award for Social Issue Documentary at CAAMFest 2013 and the Best Short Film award at the 2015 Indie Grits Film Festival. She has been artist-in-residence at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Skidmore Storytellers Institute, and Interlochen Center for the Arts. In 2016, she was named a National Mediamaker Fellow by the Bay Area Video Coalition in support of a long-term documentary engagement with a community of migratory farmworkers living in California’s agricultural belt. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Media Production at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
