Sich in der Weite der marokkanischen Wüste auf die Suche nach Steinen zu begeben, mag absurd erscheinen. Ausser es handelt sich um «Himmelssteine», die das Leben derjenigen zu verwandeln vermögen, die sie finden. Mohamed, der Nomade, und Abderrahmane, der Wissenschaftler, durchkämmen die kargen Landstriche auf der Suche nach Meteoriten – jeder mit der ihm eigenen Hoffnung.

In Fragments From Heaven kristallisiert sich in der Suche nach Meteoriten in der ausgetrockneten Landschaft der eigentliche Sinn dieser Irrfahrt in einer Wüste zwischen Himmel und Erde.
