Born in South East London in 1995, Laura grew up absorbed by storytelling. She studied English Literature at the University of Bristol, the Sorbonne and King’s College London. She then discovered the joy of telling stories through curation, joining the 2016 and 2017 Barbican Chronic Youth and Deptford Cinema programming teams before interning at Festival Scope. She was involved in Victor Paz’s 2018 Critics’ Workshop at the Palic Film Festival where she experimented making some quite bad audio visual essays but read lots by Nathaniel Dorsky. She contributes to publications including Sight & Sound and MUBI Notebook and her texts have accompanied film screenings and art exhibition. She is currently working on a collection of short stories.
