Juan Pablo Bastarrachea
CINE TONALÁ Co-Founder (Exhibiton – DF/Mexico)
Major in Audiovisual Communication and postgraduate in Cultural Management. Since 2004, he has worked for film festivals in Mexico like FICCO, Cinema Global and Distrital. In June 2012 he opened, along with a group of friends, Cine Tonalá, a network of arthouse cinemas based in Mexico City, Bogotá, Tijuana and Querétaro. He has produced some documentaries and experimental films like BEAUTIES OF THE NIGHT (María José Cuevas) and CASA ROSHELL (Camila José Donoso). He has been jury in the Monterrey International Film Festival, the Filmmaker’s Week in Rio de Janeiro and in the Cuenca International Film Festival in Ecuador. He is a member of the Board of FICUNAM. He was selected by IMCINE within the group of “10 Producers to watch” in the European Film Market in Berlinale 2017.
