JFC group, Switzerland
Born in 1995 in Lugano, Switzerland, Manuel Fioroni approached the film industry at a young age. Following his brother’s steps, he started working as a volunteer at a local cinema at the age of 14. After finishing high school, Manuel moved to Zurich to pursue a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Cultural Contexts. In 2018 he started working as an intern for DCM in Zurich. His tasks included taking care of the theatrical distribution in Southern Switzerland and marketing the lineup countrywide. A year later, Manuel came back in Locarno – where he had already worked in 2017 as a hospitality intern - to join the Locarno Pro team. At the Festival he was in charge of the Industry Screenings and assisted the co-production platform Alliance for Development. Manuel is currently studying Management and Economics at the University of Zurich and programming three movie screens in Southern Switzerland for the JFC group.
