2013. Exiled in Switzerland, Olga, a talented and passionate 15-year-old Ukrainian gymnast, is trying to secure a place in the National Sports Centre. But the Euromaidan revolt erupts in Kiev, and suddenly her loved ones are involved. While the girl is adapting to her new country and preparing for the European Championships, the Ukrainian revolution makes its way into her life, and nothing will ever be the same again.
The production
Founded in 1996, Point Prod is one of the largest production companies in Switzerland. Since 2006 it has played a leading role in the development and production of films and TV dramas (with Swiss and European co-producers). Its most recent productions include Miséricorde (2016), presented at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017, and Tambour Battant (2019), among the biggest box office hits in Switzerland in 2019. Elie Grappe’s Olga starts a new line of production aimed at developing a strong link with young talents in their transition from short film to feature debut.
