Baran Sarmad

Baran Sarmad is an Iranian filmmaker born in 1993. As a child, she used to write short stories and create her personal imaginary world. She founded Menisn Film Production in 2016, working on the production of three films. She received the Pitching Award of the Tehran International Short Film Festival for Spotted Yellow. The idea for this film, directed in 2020, was born from the fantasy atmospheres of her childhood, which she expanded by inserting the loneliness of the female character into the modern life of society.
