The disciplines of filmmaking and architecture have many aspects in
common, such as creating an experience, imagining space, working
collectively, the complexity of individual projects and the balance
between artistic ambition and financial constraints. In 2005, two masters
– director Wim Wenders, awarded the Pardo d’onore, and architect
Massimiliano Fuksas – came together in Locarno and discussed the parallels
between their work and the cross-contamination of the two artforms.
