Agnès Varda was a free electron. Recipient of the Pardo d’onore 2014, the
photographer, filmmaker and artist told us how she used her work to learn
the things she still didn’t know about the world and human beings. As the
anecdotes piled up, she recounted her discovery of the filmmaking medium,
her start within the context of the French New Wave, the relationship
between artists and the reality they depict, and the need to keep
exploring one’s own interests.
