Open Doors Screenings

In a 20-year-long collaboration with the SDC, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation within the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Open Doors has cast a spotlight on talents and films from countries where independent cinema is more fragile. From 2022 to 2024 Open Doors will focus on the film industries of 22 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean – which, throughout the year, carries out professional promotion and training programs and in August is present with the Co-Production Hub and the Producers’ Lab. Concomitantly, the non-competitive section Open Doors Screenings offers the audience a selection of feature-length films and shorts that are representative of the region, i.e., Central America and the Caribbean for the 2022 project cycle.
