Locarno Short Cuts - Day 9

It's the night of number 10s. The ninth night of the Festival will be all about exceptional people: Diego on the screen, Fredi on the stage.  After filling up stadiums in the '80s and '90s, Diego Maradona will try to fill Piazza Grande with the help of Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia. Before the screening, though, Locarno72 will pay tribute to a master with the Pardo alla carriera to Fredi Murer. While staying on the subject of exceptional people, today is also the day of Enrico Ghezzi, who will receive the Premio Utopia and screen La macchina dello spazio. And what about the competitions? Today's Concorso internazionale boasts Pa-go from South Korea and Cat in the Wall from Bulgaria.
