Pedro's rules

Taking its time. That's what Pedro Costa's cinema does, it takes its time. It's the time to wait for the sun or the rain, to tell a story based on the rhythm of thoughts, even when the work is in progress. The crew is limited, sparse, fast. That's enough, when you're a master craftsman, to create indelible images like the ones we see in Vitalina Varela.
