The Short Film Night in Locarno Is Postponed

Due to new federal health regulations, the event scheduled for October 31 at GranRex has been postponed

UPDATE

The Short Film Night, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 31, at the GranRex in Locarno, has been postponed indefinitely. Due to the latest federal health regulations, and in order to safeguard the health of audience and staff, the Locarno Film Festival and Associazione culturale Spazio 1999, in partnership with the Ticino Film Commission, have all decided to postpone the Locarno part of the event. The new date will be announced on the organizers' official channels in the coming weeks.

Short films, TV series and animation: nothing will be unaccounted for during the Short Film Night’s double rendezvous in Ticino. Now in its eighteenth year, and organized, as always, by Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, the event devoted to the short format will be hosted by Associazione Culturale Spazio 1929, which curated and coordinated the two local nights.

On Friday, October 23, the doors will open at the LUX arthouse in Massagno, while on Saturday, October 31, the Short Film Night will be a guest of the Locarno Film Festival for the very first time. In addition to hosting the event at the GranRex, the Festival will be curating a Carte Blanche, consisting of four films, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its short film section, Pardi di domani.
