Locarno Today - 10 | 8 | 2022

Locarno Daily Editor Alessandro De Bon and Artistic Director Giona A. Nazzaro sum up the day at Locarno75 and give advice

Day 8, a very intense one. Artistic Director Giona A. Nazzaro explains this on Locarno Today, starting with the major Piazza Grande event, the Vision Award Ticinomoda assigned to musician and multitalented artist Laurie Anderson, as well as the screening of her great concert film Home of the Brave. Before that, though, it’s time for Swiss cinema with Caterina Mona’s Semret. In the Concorso internazionale, we have Julia Murat’s Regra 34 and Nikolaus Geyrhalter’s Matter Out of Place. The Concorso Cineasti del presente features two trips to the past, Trevor Anderson’s Before I Changed My Mind and Santiago Fillol’s Matadero. And that’s not all: the Festival is also showing the first two episodes of the Amazon Prime series Prisma, by Ludovico Bessegato, already on the road to becoming a cult show.
