The official program of the 66th edition of the Festival del film Locarno was announced at today's press conference, Wednesday 17 July, under the presidency of Marco Solari.

The official Jurys: The Jury for the Concorso internazionale, the Concorso Cineasti del presente, the Pardi di domani (short films), and the First Feature Jury.
Concorso internazionale: The 20 feature films, 18 of which are world premieres, in competition for the Pardo d'oro.
Concorso Cineasti del presente: The competition dedicated to first and second features, with 16 films in selection.
Piazza Grande: The 16 films of Piazza Grande, the 8,000-seat open air cinema.
Fuori concorso: A panoramic view of contemporary cinema: Death Row II by Werner Herzog, Focus on Syria, a program of artist's films and a program of shorts by established filmmakers.
Pardi di domani: The competitions dedicated to short cinema.
Histoire(s) du cinéma: Film history presented by its protagonists.
Premi speciali: The Festival's five special awards to artists of world renown.
Retrospettiva George Cukor: The director's entire body of work, accompanied by guests, discussions, presentations and events.
Open Doors: Opening this year onto South Caucasus, with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
