Markus Duffner, Project Manager: “Thanks to the collaboration with Film Center Serbia, this year First Look showcases six different projects that illustrate the diversity of cinematic approaches within the contemporary Serbian landscape, mostly led by female voices.”

The works in progress will be accessible to industry badge holders only. Before each screening the producers and directors will introduce their film to the various international sales agents, funders, distributors and festival programmers.

On August 11, the jury, consisting of Lorenzo Esposito (Programmer, Berlin International Film Festival), Tiina Lokk (Artistic Director, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival) and Emanuela Martini (Artistic Director, Torino Film Festival) will assign the First Look award offered by Cinelab Bucharest that consists of post-production services of the value of 65.000 €, the Le Film Français’ award for advertising services of the value of 5.600,00 € and the Kaiju Cinema D/ffusion award (the designing of the international key art poster) valued at 5.000,00 €.
