It’s never too early to join film industry! Discover Locarno Pro initiative for under 30 years old, a platform giving voice to the new generation of film professionals from all over the world.
U30 is a platform offering a space for young professionals wanting to voice their concerns on highly topical issues related to the industry. The program acts as a think tank aimed at stimulating the exchange of views and promoting analysis of new strategies to face the challenges of the future. Participants, selected from different Industry Academy International attendees in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, are invited to explore the other Locarno Pro activities enhancing the opportunities for networking and synergies with other industry attendees in Locarno.
In 2019, during U30 pilot edition, 24 young professionals from all over the world gathered in Locarno to take part in a three-day program divided in 5 sessions during which they discussed and brainstormed about “The Audience of the Future”. Several senior professionals contributed to the sessions as special guests, such as: Bob Berney (former Marketing and Distribution Executive at Amazon), Roberto Olla (Eurimages, Executive Director), Matthijs Wouter Knol (former Director at EFM Berlin), Allison Gardner (Glasgow Film Theater, Programme Director & Festival Co-Director), Laura Houlgatte (International Union of Cinemas, CEO).
