Pom Bunsermvicha graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Culture & Media Studies. During her semester abroad in Prague, she attended the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU), where she directed her first short film 10:10. Her work has since then combined documentary elements with fiction and engages with the inner desires and conflicts of her characters — most of which are female and/or queer in some way. Her short films have shown at numerous festivals in Southeast Asia and abroad. Her thesis short E-po (A Second Chance) is her first work from Thailand. In 2014, she joined Electric Eel Films and has since worked closely with Anocha Suwichakornpong. She has concentrated her efforts in aiding the growth of independent cinema through her work with Southeast Asia Fiction Film Lab (SEAFIC) and Purin Pictures.
She participated at the Berlinale Talents 2019.
