The Silence of the Dying Fish
by Vasilis Kekatos
Greece, France · 2018 · DCP · Color · 19' · o.v. Greek
Makis works at a fish farm. One morning, as he goes to work, he’s told he’s dead… since the day before. After trying in vain to prove he’s very much alive, all that remains is to accept the situation and find someone who will take care of his canaries before the funeral.
Selected in the Pardi di domani International competition 2018
Adopting in many ways the "Greek touch" that reminds us of internationally renowned directors, the film plunges the viewer into a melancholy, disturbing and tongue-in-cheek universe. We let ourselves be drawn into this introspective journey into the daily life of a fish farm worker with a strange and memorable feeling.
