The story of some unemployed youngsters from Sheffield who reinvent themselves as strippers to eke out a living. In 1997 Peter Cattaneo's The Full Monty is screened in Piazza Grande (in Locarno) and immediately becomes a cult. Loads of applause all over the movie, a collective standing ovation during the credits and the very next day, in almost every European country, the number of copies to distribute has already doubled.
