Doing Cinema (One Frame at a Time)
You are a very young, passionate filmmaker. Fine. You have a great location like the Festival del film Locarno. Perfect. And a story. Good. A great story. Even better. But only one frame to tell it. Oh...
This is the challenge of "One-frame movie", a creative lab open to thirty girls and boys aged between 10 and 14 years who will have to show off their creativity, developing the ability to enclose their movie visions in a single picture taken with a smartphone. The initiative - organized by the Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana (SUPSI) - will include small seminars and atelier activities which will be held from August 12th to August 14th on two sessions: one in the morning (9 to 12) and one in the afternoon (13.30 to 16.30). One of the main objectives is also to sensitise youngsters about audiovisual communication and digital technologies.
The courses will take place at the Dipartimento formazione e apprendimento (DFA) in piazza San Francesco 19, Locarno. More information and enrollment (fee: 30 CHF) at www.supsi.ch/go/oneframe.
