Born in 1979, Jan Bonny directed several short films including 2nd and A in 2003. Counterparts (2008), his first feature, premiered at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. He also collaborated with Alex Wissel on experimental films such as Single (2014) and the webseries Rheingold (2016), screened in Haus der Kunst München, Kestner Gesellschaft, Mumok Vienna, Kölnischer Kunstverein and others. Germany. A Winter’s Tale is his second feature film.
