Nadav Lapid is a Tel Aviv-born film director and writer. His first feature, Policeman (2011), won the Premio speciale della giuria at the Festival del film Locarno and went on to win more than twenty awards at international film festivals, among them Best Film at the BAFICI and the San Francisco International Film Festival. His second feature film, The Kindergarten Teacher, an Israeli-French coproduction, premiered at the Film Festival in Cannes in 2014. The film was screened at over 150 international festivals and was released in numerous countries including the U.S. Nadav Lapid is currently working on his third feature film Micro Robert, a French production that will be set in Paris. His first novel, Danse Encore, was published in Israel in 2001 and translated into several languages.
