Eduardo Williams was born in 1987 in Argentina. He studied at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, before joining Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains in France. His short films Could See a Puma (2011) and Que je tombe tout le temps? (2013) premiered at Cinéfondation and Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival, followed by I Forgot! (2014), which had its premiere at FIDMarseille. Retrospectives of his shorts are organized, among other places, at La Cinémathèque française in Paris and at the Lincoln Center in New York. His first feature, The Human Surge (2016), won the Pardo d’oro Cineasti del presente at the 69th Locarno Film Festival and was later shown at Toronto International Film Festival, New York Film Festival and other festivals. His latest short film, Parsi, premiered at Berlinale in 2019.
