The final Talk will bridge generations: Florine and Kim Nüesch, better known as the Nüesch Sisters, are two of the most exciting new talents in Swiss filmmaking and they will be joined in conversation by the Locarno Film Festival’s Artistic Director Giona A. Nazzaro and Dorothea Strauss. By elaborating on their respective engagements to art, they will explore how, together, we can make the most out of these strange and complicated times.
Florine and Kim Nüesch, better known as the Nüesch Sisters, are two of the most exciting new talents in Swiss filmmaking. Their passion for detailed art direction and wardrobe, as well as their interest in human connection or the absence of it, is present in all their films. In 2016, they founded their own production company, Nüesch Sisters Productions, in Los Angeles. Their fashion film Moon Girls was selected by various international film festivals and premiered on Nick Knight’s fashion website SHOWstudio. Their latest short film, Forget Me Not, won silver at the Young Director Award at Cannes and was selected by numerous international film festivals including the LA Shorts Festival and the Holly Shorts Film Festival. Currently, they are working on multiple projects including their first feature film and a sci-fi series, which was nominated for the Young Director Award 2020.
