From the south, Locarno is reachable via the A2 highway northbound from Chiasso, until the Locarno exit.
From the north, you arrive in Ticino via the Gotthard tunnel, on the A2 highway southbound, or via the San Bernardino, on the A13 until Bellinzona.
Once there, you will find the exit towards Locarno and Lake Maggiore.

After the screenings in Piazza Grande, the last trains to Lugano and Chiasso leave at 11:25 PM, 11:45 PM (with connection in Giubiasco), 00:25 AM (Mon-Sat) and at 03.05AM (Fri-Sat) (with connection in Giubiasco).
From the August 4th to the August 14th (except for the night between the August 7th and the August 8th) there is an additional train to Lugano and Chiasso (with connection in Chiasso) at 00:55 AM.
The last trains to Bellinzona leave at 11:45PM, 00:15AM, 00:45 AM and 01:45 AM (Mon-Fri) and at 03:05 AM (Fri-Sat).

Every night the Gambarogno Tourist Office organizes a free bus service from Locarno to Gambarogno 30 minutes after the end of the first screening in Piazza Grande. The bus will be located in close proximity to the building of La Posta.
