Nathalie Biancheri (1988) is an Italian writer/director based in Dublin. Her career in film began in London working in documentaries at the BBC where she started as a researcher and left as a self- shooting director. Her short films have won awards at festivals such as SXSW, Edinburgh, Galway, Rhode Island Flickers Fest, Palm Springs, London Film Festival, Sofia and many others.
Her film Xavier Corbero: Portrait of an Artist in Winter was qualified for the Oscars in 2018 and her feature doc I Was Here, premiered at CPH:DOX 2019.
Nathalie recently directed a series for ARTE called 24Hrs Europe. She is in post-production on her first fiction feature, Nocturnal starring Cosmo Jarvis (Lady Macbeth, Calm With Horses) which was developed through Film London and is sold internationally by Urban Distribution International. Her second film, Wolf, starring Barry Keoghan (Killing of a Sacred Deer, Dunkirk) has been financed by Screen Ireland the Polish Film Institute and will shoot in 2020.
