Locarno Short Cuts - Day 8

There will be awards, returns and British cinema. The eighth day of Locarno72 is an ensemble of local and international filmmaking, starting with the competitions and arriving all the way to Piazza Grande. There the Festival audience will finally get to know the UK humor of Simon Bird's  Days of the Bagnold Summer, starring the young Earl Cave. The Piazza stage will also welcome the Swiss director Fulvio Bernasconi, the recipient of the Premio Cinema Ticino. As for the competitions, the Concorso internazionale is all about the return of Pedro Costa with Vitalina Varela, as well as Eloy Enciso's Longa Noite, while Cineasti del presente features Orsolan and Overseas.
