At the Conquest of Paris

After the screening of Sandra Nettelbeck's Mr. Morgan's Last Love in Piazza Grande on Friday night (August 15th) and the participation of Claire Simon's Gare du Nord in the Concorso internazionale, the Festival del film Locarno is ready to establish a new relationship with Paris. For fourth consecutive year, the Swiss Cultural Centre of the French capital (Centre culturel suisse, or CCS) is offering a "Carte Blanche" to the Ticinese event. Between Tuesday, September 24th and Wednesday, September 25th the Artistic Director Carlo Chatrian will present four movies coming from the Official catalogue of Locarno66 (and yet to be announced) plus two Swiss features: on the first day Basil da Cunha's Até ver a luz (2013), on the second day the documentary Hiver Nomade, directed by Manuel von Stürler in 2012. All the movies are going to be screened at Nouveau Latina cinema, 20 rue du Temple, 75004 Paris. The complete program of the two-day session is going to be presented in the end of August on the website of the CCS - www.ccsparis.com.
