The Switzerland’s Untouchables
Guess what? Andy Garcia, who attended the Festival del film Locarno to receive the Leopard Club Award is very passionate about golf. Well, the Top Events of Switzerland (TEOS) includes not only that event, but also the Omega European Masters Crans-Montana (Canton of Valais) in July 2016, a not-to-miss event in the European circuit.
On the list of Swiss top events it is also possible to find a special event dedicated to the arts like Art Basel, scheduled from, June 16th to 19th, in a Northern Switzerland city but also in Hong Kong (March 24-26, 2016) and Miami (December 3-6, 2015). And do you know where Andy Garcia has spent most of his life? In Florida, that's right.
Just a chance? A coincidence? It is said that that two hints make a suspicion, while three hints make a proof. Here's the third TEOS we are introducing today: the Montreux Jazz Festival, which will be held in July 2016. Okay, Andy Garcia has never taken part of this international music event which began in 1967 and hosted great musicians, such as Freddie Mercury, Deep Purple and B. B. King. Or better, he has not yet taken part of it. Because our new Leopard Club Award winner is a percussionist (bongos and congas) and pianist and has already won two Grammys for albums he produced (and performed on) in 1994 and 2005.
Finally, we can say that the Top Events of Switzerland can be considered our country's Untouchables, and from today onwards Andy is definitely a part of them.Mattia Bertoldi
