Mike Plante is a film programmer and documentary filmmaker. He started working for film festivals in 1993 and is currently the Senior Programmer for Short Films at the Sundance Film Festival, where he has worked since 2001. He started Cinemad film magazine in 1998 in print, which is now a blog and podcast. As a film producer he made Giuseppe Makes A Movie  (2014), which was released by Cinelicious Pics to theaters and bluray. As a director he made Be Like An Ant  (2011, 57 min) and many shorts, including The Polaroid Job  (2016, 8 min), available online at The New York Times Op-Docs. His recent film as director is And With Him Came The West (2019, 77 min), which premiered February in New York at MoMA Doc Fortnight.
