The final line-up of projects for Locarno 2020 will be announced in the next few weeks. The complete program for Locarno 2020 – For the Future of Films, including dates and times of events, online and physical films, will be available from 29 July. From that date it will also be possible to reserve tickets for attending physical and online screenings.

Press access to online and physical screenings at Locarno 2020

Online screenings and events for press and public:

All online events (screenings, master classes, panel discussions and talks) will be free. Instructions on how to access specific platforms will be given out in the coming weeks, beginning mid-July, on this website (www.locarnofestival.ch).

Ticket reservations for screenings in theaters

Journalists will have free access to all premiere and/or repeat screenings scheduled from 5 to 15 August.

In order to comply with restrictions in place due to COVID-19, when applying for tickets the following information must be supplied:

Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late applications will be processed on the basis of seat availability. Viewers may attend theater screenings ONLY if in possession of a reservation, printed out or held on a mobile device. Tickets and seat reservations will be sent out by email. These tickets will be strictly personal and non-transferable and must be shown, either printed or on a mobile device, on entry to the venue.

Tickets and season tickets for persons accompanying journalists may be acquired for a fee from the secretariat or online from 29 July.

Season ticket: CHF 73. —

Admission to single screening: CHF 12.—

Reduced admission for students and over-65s: CHF 8. —

Press conference

In this special year the traditional mid-July Locarno Film Festival press conference will not be taking place.

Due to this year’s exceptional circumstances we are unfortunately unable to offer accommodation to journalists present in Locarno to attend the physical event. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
