Born in Basel, Switzerland, Anna Raymann has been interested in films from an early age. Growing up, she attended a film club for children named Zauberlaterne. They showed all the classics, from Charlie Chaplin to—a film that still impresses Anna today—Metropolis by Fritz Lang. After school she moved to Zurich to study Cast / Audiovisual Media. As part of this very practical course of study, Anna reported for the Zurich Film Festival. At the same time, she did several internships at media companies such as Das Magazin or Die Zeit in Berlin. Her interest in film remained strong and she completed her bachelor's degree with a nonlinear multimedia report on women in the film industry. Now she studies in Zurich and writes for a magazine about design and architecture.
