Sebalter & Alma Negra Collective
Sebastiano Paù-Lessi, aka Sebalter, is a composer, violinist, singer and guitarist from Canton Ticino. He represented Switzerland at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with Hunter of Stars and came 13th, the highest Swiss placing for over 20 years, achieving wide popularity both at home and abroad: 6th in the charts in Switzerland and Poland, 77th in Germany, 84th in the UK, as well as reaching the hit parades of some 30 other countries. On 9 January 2015 he brought out his first solo album “Day of Glory”, premiered at the Swiss Awards 2015 show at Zurich’s Hallenstadion on 10 January 2015. The album went to No. 9 in the Swiss charts.
On 20 January 2017 Sebaltar brought out his second album –again on the Phonag Records label – entitled “Awakening”. It too has reached No. 9 in the Swiss hit parade.

Alma Negra Collective
The Alma Negra Collective consists with four musically driven Swiss guys. The Figuiera Brothers Dersu & Diego whose roots are entrenched in their Cape Verdian heritage, Dario with his half and half Portuguese/Italian mix and finally Mario with Spanish roots. The collective’s influences and skills are big; while some spent more time DJ-ing or producing, others have a wide background in musical knowledge encompassing Jazz, African, and Latin sounds through to Soul, Funk, Disco, and House/Techno. Influential artists are broad ranging but 3 stand out influences are Donald Byrd, Fela Kuti and Theo Parrish. They can perform as a quartet, a trio or a duo.
