The Day of Ken, Howard and Manoel's cinema

The Pardo d'oro is near, but the program does not stop to offer to the public of #Locarno69 exceptional guests and many films. Two great protagonists of the Piazza Grande this evening. The first is Ken Loach, director beloved by the Festival returns to Locarno after the Pardo d'onore Swisscom in 2003. His film I, Daniel Blake, recent winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes, is the first film in Piazza Grande tonight. The second protagonist, which will receive the Vision Award Nescens, is Howard Shore, composer three times Oscar winner, author of the soundtracks of The Lord of the Rings and musical signature of Cronenberg's filmography. Then, in the course of the day, the films in and out of the various competitions: Godless, Il nido, 300 Miles and O Cinema, Manoel de Oliveira and Eu.
