News from the Locarno Festival

Buena Vista Rafael Club

Rafael talks the right amount about Cuba, his land, his home, as one's country can be for anyone. For the first time, however, Rafael Ramírez talks about Cuba without being there. In order to be in Locarno to present Amundsen's Dogs, a short film playing in the Pardi di domani competition, the young filmmaker left his country for the very first time. It's a story that he prefers to tell through the images that brought him here, and at the same time it's a perfect summation of the spirit of Locarno70 and Pardi di domani. The spirit of a Festival that seeks, observes, discovers, listens and gives opportunities. Often the very first one, sometimes the crucial one.
