Merkt to the Star

The experience of youth, in one name: Michel Merkt. PardoLive TV greeted the the young Swiss producer whose career warranted Locarno70's Premio Raimondo Rezzonico. Having already worked with David Cronenberg, Wim Wenders and Xavier Dolan, Merkt was one of the stars of this year's Oscar night, with three nominated films: Claude Barras' Ma vie de Courgette, Paul Verheoven's Elle and Karen Ade's Toni Erdmann. Three movies, three kinds of filmmaking, three visions. During his conversation with PardoLive editor-in-chief Lorenzo Buccella, Merkt chats about the future of film production, what inspires him in a pitch and the director he'd like to work with: the next one.

Michel Merkt will receive the Premio Raimondo Rezzonico tonight at 9.30 in Piazza Grande.
