Shevaun Mizrahi received her Bachelor in cognitive neuroscience and English literature at the University of Pennsylvania, and went on to get her Master of fine arts at the Graduate Film Program at New York University. She worked as an assistant to cinematographer Ed Lachman and a fellow with Marcie Bloom at Sony Pictures Classics. Her first documentary feature Distant Constellation (2017) was selected for the Independent Filmmaker Project Documentary Lab and Forum. Before shifting to film, Shevaun Mizrahi was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and her photography was exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. She is currently developing her next documentary film.
