María Alvarez is a writer and a director, born in Buenos Aires. From 2010 to 2011, she directed The Bank, an eight chapters docu-fiction about the history of the National Bank of Argentina. In 2012, she wrote her short film, The Sea, which was selected at Mar del Plata. She has just published her play, Burn before reading (2017), which was awarded the second prize of the Fray Luis de León award.
