Nicole Vögele was born in Gretzenbach in 1983. She has been a journalist for various Swiss TV programs since 2002, including CASH-TV, 10vor10 and in recent years, mostly for Rundschau. From 2010 to 2017, she studied documentary film at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Her first short films, Frau Loosli (2013) and Into the Innards (2014), premiered at international film festivals. In 2014, her essay film fog was screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and other international festivals, among others in Taiwan. Some of the impressions she gathered there resonated later. The question of what acceleration and the 24/7-hour society do to us took her back to Taipei.
